The Vintages release at the end of May is showcasing 90+ point wines as well as wines from Portugal. Highly rated wines are always interesting to taste blind to see if you agree with the reviewers or not. You may surprise yourself. Portugal is an up and coming wine region where you can often find wines of exceptional value. After a long winter it’s time to fire up the BBQ and celebrate the summer with family and friends. Now, we all have a few wines we think about when BBQ season comes around, but this will treat you to some others you may not have tried. To keep it even more interesting, we will be meeting at Canvas where we will have the chance to match the wines with small plates of different BBQ foods! The wines will be chosen by your Guild Directors and all will be either General List or Vintages Essentials so that you can easily purchase them. The second Vintages release of June features wines for summer. We will taste some of these featured wines plus others from the release. We encourage you to register early as all members signed up by Saturday, June 16, 2012, will be invited to suggest a few of their choices from the release. We will consider the requests as we make the final selection, particularly looking at popular items based on multiple responses along with any intriguing thematic suggestions. Read more »
