A Word from Bill – December 2012

We have our annual “Festive Fizz” VPR this week wrapping up a diverse and successful tasting season for 2012. As I look back at the events this past year there was everything from VPR’s and dinners to some pretty unique higher end tastings. We are pleased at the feedback we are getting from the membership and as always we are eager to entertain any suggestions that you may have for events for 2013.

With the recent changes at the NAC we will have the opportunity to see Chef Morris’ creations at our Guild Gala on January 19, 2013. The NAC has been gracious enough to offer the Guild a better price point on our event, which will allow us to purchase more premium wines for the Gala. I think the prospect of a creative menu and a beautiful venue with excellent wines will show the value that our membership expects. The Gala will, as usual, let us enjoy the company of our fellow Guild members and have the opportunity to win some great door prizes. The Gala will be a great event that will allow everyone to shake off the post holiday blahs!

Just a reminder that it will be necessary to renew your membership in order to attend 2013 events. This year there will be a number of member only events due to popularity. If you haven’t had a chance to renew yet there are details in the newsletter with a link to our website to make the process easy for you.

Keep an eye out for events in our newsletter as well as in our emails to you. All of our events are filling quickly so you should consider registering early to ensure a spot. Coming up in the new year we have the Gala, VPR’s, dinners and more premium events for our members. In the meantime on behalf of myself and the Guild board we wish you best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
